Who We Are
It's a movement, a call to action, for everyone who believes in building a brighter future. Join us as we bring these dreams to life. Volunteer, donate, or simply spread the word. Together, we can transform our communities.
Our Vision
To create vibrant, thriving communities where health and wellness are prioritized, economic opportunities flourish, and every person has access to essential resources and the tools to succeed. We aspire to be a catalyst for positive change, empowering individuals to reach their full potential and leave a lasting legacy of impact.
Organizational Background
Kingdom Mission was born out of personal experience and a deep commitment to uplifting others who face similar challenges. These experiences fueled the vision for Kingdom Mission, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through partnerships focused on health and wellness, housing resources, economic growth, and youth education.
Our Pillars
At Kingdom Mission, we serve our community with faith at the center of everything we do. Each program, outreach, and partnership is a reflection of God's love and a step toward building stronger families, empowered youth, and healthier neighborhoods.
Our mission is inspired by Matthew 25:40: Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for Me. We serve Christ by serving others — offering wellness support, educational tools, and economic resources to those who need it most.
Matthew 25:40
We believe in full restoration. That is why we provide tools to strengthen physical health, build financial stability, and renew spiritual hope. As 3 John 1:2 says, I pray that you may enjoy good health, even as your soul is getting along well.
3 John 1:2
Meet the founder
"Kingdom Mission exists to ensure that individuals and families are not navigating these challenges alone. Our first year represents the beginning of that promise, and the impact we aim to grow for years to come."
Kingdom Mission was born out of both lived experience and a deep commitment to serving others. As an educator, mother, and community advocate, Towana Garrett has witnessed firsthand how poverty, instability, and lack of access to resources can disrupt families and futures — and has lived those challenges herself.
As a native of St. Louis, Missouri, she spent 20 years raising two sons as a single mother, balancing parenthood with the pursuit of higher education — earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees. For 20 years she served as a special education teacher working with students who are wards of the state — young people with incredible potential but too few consistent support systems.
Nine years ago, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, seeking a fresh start and a way to make a greater impact. She has seen families living in motels, hardworking individuals with no guidance to start a business, and students without anyone in their corner. She has been all of those things herself.
Kingdom Mission is her answer. Not a program. A calling.

What drives us
We provide resources, education, and support to help families and individuals live healthier lives — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
We envision communities where health and wellness are prioritized, economic opportunities flourish, and every person has access to essential resources and the tools to succeed.
We embrace a holistic approach — physical health, emotional well-being, and spiritual encouragement as interconnected foundations for thriving communities.
3 John 1:2
We serve the community by putting compassion into practice — meeting people with dignity, care, and presence. Every outreach reflects a commitment to show up for the people who need it most.
